Black Digital Humanities

From what I can gather, Black Digital Humanities is a space where we can explore questions of black humanity as it relates to the digital domain. My main questions stem from where, exactly, African American Studies and digital humanities intersect. Is it in the use of technology to teach and discuss questions of race and humanity? Is it the use of technology to explore and uncover minority voices? Or, is it the study of race, hegemony, and humanity in the digital sphere? Maybe even a combination of all three? I love the idea that the Digital black Humanities provides space to challenge hegemonic structures of power and demystify digital tools against the idea that they are inherently those of the powerful. Looking forward to discussing this. -Devin
